Accounting Operations Supervisor

Modway is seeking experienced Accounting Operations Supervisor to help oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. The Accounting Operations Supervisor will report to the CFO. The position is located on-site at our Modway Headquarters in East Windsor.

Modway is seeking experienced Accounting Operations Supervisor to help oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. The Accounting Operations Supervisor will report to the CFO. The position is located on-site at our Modway Headquarters in East Windsor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the current process by working closely with the existing team.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with accounting responsibilities.
  • Monitor recurring tasks, deadlines, and open items.
  • Help establish clear ownership and backup coverage across the team.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Support training and cross-training of accounting staff.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Controller on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments to develop and maintain efficient workflows between those departments and Accounting.
  • Gradually assume greater responsibility for managing the team’s daily operations.
  • Opportunity for the position to grow into an Accounting Manager position.

Experience & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within an E-Commerce operating environment or similar environment
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor
  • Proven experience leading, training and coordinating the tasks of an accounting staff
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations and internal controls
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating SOPs or process documentation
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems

Salary Range: $100K to $115K
